Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer with 14+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years of deep AWS expertise, to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms.
This role will focus on Kubernetes (EKS)-based platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD automation, cloud security, and observability, enabling reliable and efficient delivery of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in production-grade cloud environments, DevOps practices, and platform reliability engineering, with a proven track record of improving deployment efficiency, reducing MTTR, and optimizing cloud costs.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
- Design, implement, and manage large-scale AWS cloud platforms
- Architect and operate Kubernetes (EKS) environments for production workloads
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance across environments
- Design multi-region and multi-account architectures aligned with best practice
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Standardize and automate infrastructure provisioning across environments
- Implement reusable modules and enforce infrastructure governance
DevOps & CI/CD Enablement
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes for microservices and containerized applications
- Enable secure multi-stage deployments (dev, test, staging, production)
Containerization & Orchestration
- Build and manage containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), OpenShift, ECS
- Optimize cluster performance, scaling, and resource utilization
- Implement container security best practices
Observability & Reliability Engineering
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and tracing solutionsusing:
- Splunk, Dynatrace
- Prometheus, Grafana
- AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray
- Improve system reliability, performance, and availability
- Reduce MTTR through proactive monitoring and incident response
Cloud Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practicesacross cloud environments:
- IAM, VPC, Security Groups, NACLs
- WAF, TLS/SSL, encryption
- Integrate security tools and scans (Qualys, SonarQube, Prisma)
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards
Data & Integration Services
- Work with AWS data services including:
- S3, RDS, DynamoDB, EFS, Glacier
- Streaming services (MSK, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)
- Support integration with enterprise databases (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, Snowflake)
Automation & Scripting
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, YAML
- Automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes
Collaboration & ITSM
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Architects, Security, QA)
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow (ITIL framework)
- Participate in Agile processes and DevOps culture adoption
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 14+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, and Infrastructure Engineering
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms
- Proven experience managing production-grade Kubernetes (EKS) environments
- Experience working with cloud automation and deployment tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, Fargate).
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
- Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Strong experience in SQL, data modeling and performance tuning within Snowflake.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI, GenAI and ML workflows.
- AWS and HashiCorp Terraform certifications are preferrable.
- Knowledge of data integration solutions using Glue, Lambda and other AWS services.
