Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager who combines deep delivery expertise with strategic leadership. This role goes beyond traditional project management to include portfolio strategy, transformation planning, and executive advisory. The successful candidate will partner with senior business and technology leaders to shape initiatives, define roadmaps, and ensure execution delivers measurable business outcomes.
This role requires someone who can think strategically, operate at an executive level, and still drive disciplined execution across complex, multi-year initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Partner with executive stakeholders to define program and portfolio strategy aligned with business objectives
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, and milestones
- Evaluate initiatives based on value, risk, cost, and feasibility, supporting prioritization decisions
- Provide thought leadership on operating models, transformation approaches, and delivery strategies
Program & Project Management
- Lead large-scale, complex projects and programs across multiple teams and workstreams
- Define and manage scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, risks, and issues
- Establish and enforce governance models, reporting structures, and decision forums
- Ensure alignment across business, technology, risk, compliance, and vendor teams
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, including Director and Sr. Director.
- Prepare and present executive-level updates, business cases, and recommendations
- Proactively identify risks and trade-offs and facilitate timely decision-making
- Manage expectations across competing priorities and stakeholder groups
Financial & Value Management
- Own or support business case development, funding models, and investment justification
- Track benefits realization, KPIs, and outcomes to ensure strategic goals are achieved
- Support vendor management, contract oversight, and cost optimization initiatives
Transformation & Change Leadership
- Lead delivery of business and technology transformation initiatives
- Drive adoption of new processes, platforms, and operating models
- Partner with change management and communications teams to ensure organizational readiness
Mentorship & Organizational Leadership
Mentor project and program managers, setting high standards for delivery excellence
Contribute to PMO maturity, standards, and best practices
Influence culture by promoting accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in project and program management within complex enterprise environments
Proven experience operating at strategic and executive levels
Strong background managing large, cross-functional, multi-year initiatives
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with senior leadership, including C-suite and Board-level stakeholders
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience in enterprise transformation, digital, data, or cloud programs
Background in consulting or advisory roles
Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and traditional delivery models
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
Industry experience in financial services, or regulated environments
