Qualifications Preferably 4+ years of hands on Java experience is a must. Application build (Maven/Jenkins) experience required Hands on Experience with building Rest APIs, API Integration, and Web Services Expertise in objected oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms Thorough understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service technologies, and data structure fundamentals Exposure to Spring boot applications Good understanding of Linux OS commands Experience on supporting multi tier architecture which includes exposure to databases such IBM DB2, Oracle, Couchbase, Redis etc. and messaging queues like Solace, Kafka, etc Knowledge of server-side technologies such as JBoss Monitoring and analyzing Performance Metrics Data In-depth knowledge of ITIL concepts such as Incident, Change, Problem Management and support procedures Very strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve application issues in a production environment Experience with debugging techniques for root cause analysis of issues. Experience with identifying application/infrastructure risks and mitigation strategy and the ability to work with a team to ensure risks are mitigated. Good communication, collaboration and partnering skills with other peer teams across different location Direct application monitoring and work towards implementing automated monitoring scripts Knowledge and experience with Splunk, Kibana, or similar log analysis and querying tools - writing queries, building dashboards, configuring alerts, and reports is a plus Analytical knowledge and exposure on troubleshooting and root cause identification using analyzer tools like Splunk, ELK,Dynatrace etc. is a plus Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and dedication to deadlines Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts
Here is just some of what they will be doing: Responsible for joining critical incident bridges to provide Level 1 / Level 2 issue restoration support as an individual or as part of a team. Post restoration, deliver detailed root cause research by reviewing logs, working with product vendors, and reviewing system configuration and performance data, ultimately identifying what went wrong. Identify critical transactional activities and develop monitoring solutions to track these transactions and visualize the data. Develop intelligent alerting to provide informational and action-oriented alerts through a variety of channels including Slack, email, and text. Develop and deploy automation to replace manual tasks, enhancing response time, increasing system self-healing abilities, and improving support task accuracy.
